Drop Everything! 6 Reasons Our Annual Exhibition is For You

Last year marked our 30th anniversary, so we’re thrilled to announce that we’re back again in 2017 for our annual specialist sugarcraft show and international exhibition... So why should you come along?
1. We're the original...

Since starting in 1986, the Squires Kitchen Annual Exhibition is the longest-running annual exhibition of its kind in Europe. The talented members of staff, including full-time food scientists, creative designers and expert tutors from Squires Kitchen, are passionate about sugarcraft, creating professional products and bringing that knowledge and expertise to the cake decorating community – everyone from beginners to experienced cake artists. And once a year, our exhibition ties all of this together especially for you - even giving you the opportunity to buy from your favourite manufacturers directly!

2. Mini classes galore

We know how much people love taking our mini classes, so this year we’re upping the game and dedicating an entire day to them – a total of 19 mini classes will be held from Friday 10th through to Sunday 12th March. These classes are held by expert tutors from all around the world and cover a range of subjects including character modelling, creating incredible effects on sugarpaste and developing artistic skills. Whether you want to try something new, or you’d like to perfect specific skills, our classes could be just what you need. Enter a class and get a free ticket to the exhibition for Saturday or Sunday, too!

3. World-renowned tutors

Here at Squires Kitchen, we’re lucky enough to have the most talented cake artists and designers teaching classes in our international school every week. So it’s a great honour to have them on hand at our exhibition demonstrating and hosting classes throughout the weekend. From illustrators turned cake artists, master chocolatiers and sugar modellers to world leading sugarcraft designers and experts in intricate sugar flowers - if you want to be the best, we’re giving you the opportunity to learn from the best!

4. Become the next sugarcraft star!

We all get a sense of achievement when we’re recognised for creating something amazing, whether it’s likes on Instagram after posting a picture of a cake we’ve made, or compliments for modelling the most realistic-looking sugar flowers. For the ultimate sense of achievement, we want you to enter your fabulous creations into our competition classes! With seven classes in total, you’re bound to find something that suits your style. And if you can’t decide, you can always enter more than one class. Could you make a wedding cake that would qualify as a showstopper? Or perhaps your love of food will help you to create cupcakes featuring all sorts of sweet and savoury delights? You could even see your work featured in Cakes & Sugarcraft magazine! Each person entering one of our competition classes will also receive two complimentary exhibition entry tickets for the Saturday show.

5. Inspirational demos

We are constantly developing and creating new products to meet the high standards of our customers and we can’t wait to show them to you! And sometimes, there's no better way to find out sugarcraft tips and tricks than by seeing a live demonstration. As well as our Exhibition Team, our top tutors are also on hand to give you advice for achieving the best results. If you want to get some new techniques to inspire your own cake decorating, come and see our live demonstrations happening throughout the weekend.

6. The atmosphere!

We welcome people from all over the country and around the world during our exhibition weekend. So it’s impossible for the atmosphere not to be buzzing! As well as the breath-taking sights inside the Competition Hall, we’re also blessed with the beautiful surroundings of Farnham, a market town featuring some of the finest Georgian architecture in the south of England. Plus the exhibition is down the road from our shop, packed with all your baking and decorating essentials. So why not make a day of it?

See you there...
