Carlos Lischetti

Carlos Lischetti is an incredibly talented sugar artist who is best known for his 3D modelling work based on animations by his twin brother, Elio, whose career is in classical animation; their combined talents formed the basis of Carlos’ hugely successful book Animation in Sugar.

Carlos has had a passion for creating cakes since the age of eleven, through the support of his family and his local sugarcraft shop owner, he developed his hobby and discovered his natural creativity. His career began when working for a local bakery in his home town of Rosario, Argentina, there he received training in making French pastries which gave him the tools to combine a good recipe with clean decoration. Carlos then went on to study and train in Buenos Aires, Paris and London where he learned from world-renowned sugar artists and pastry chefs and mastered the techniques of pastry and cake design.

Carlos presently spends most of his time teaching in several international culinary schools around the world, the rest of his time is spent on new projects in his Argentina studio as well as regularly contributing to Cakes & Sugarcraft magazine.
