My wife and I have used these buttons a few times including one tier of my daughters wedding cake (with orange and Grand Marnier) and one tier of my friends wedding cake (Irish Whisky). Both used in the cake mix with cocoa etc and more importantly for the ganache. We recently picked cherries so my wife used the same recipe and format for the chocolate cake and ganache (Cognac this time) with our picked cherries baked in the cake and pressed into the ganache which as well as in the sandwich was all over the outside. We’ve used other chocolate for these sort of things but these are in a class of their own.
